Writer Biography

Born in North Carolina, my parents made me a traveler at the young age of six weeks. Family vacations were spent at beaches and Civil War battlegrounds. I graduated East Carolina University with a B.A. in History and a minor in Political Science.

After college, I moved to Chicago for a taste of the big city, where I feel in love with the quick pace, cold, snowy winters, and my now husband, who I met just a cubicle away.

Now living in Phoenix, I rediscovered my love for photography and writing. How can one resist a great shot of a sunset at the top of a mountain during a hike, or the pink sunsets? And my husband shares my love for traveling and I plan to snorkel in the most beautiful places in the world!

Preparing for motherhood in May, so the snorkeling may have to take a backseat for the time-being!
