Writer Biography

Lisa Stiles Nance has been a professional writer since 1990. She began as a freelance feature writer before becoming a staff writer for a full-service advertising agency. During her time with the agency, she was involved in concept development, copywriting, and electronic media production.

In 1996, she became freelance again, providing copywriting services to advertising agencies in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Her client accounts included International Paper, Meineke, Golden Corral, Broyhill Furniture, Bernhardt Furniture and many large regional hospitals. She specializes in business-to-business, healthcare, and furniture industries.

In 2003, she published a memoir of her experience waiting for her husband to receive a heart transplant, entitled Life in Limbo, Waitingng for a Heart Transplant. Since then, she has written feature articles for many publications including Charlotte Magazine, The News & Observer, and The Fayetteville Observer.

She lives in the foothills of North Carolina with her husband.
