Author
I have been a professional writer and editor for over 20 years, mostly working as a technical writer. I have also had short stories, poems and a children's book published, along with hundreds of non-fiction articles.
I have a BSc in Biochemistry/Chemistry and a Diploma in Freelance Journalism, and I am currently nearing the end of a BA in Literature and Composition. I enjoy researching and writing on many topics, but I am particularly drawn to subjects such as science, nutrition, animals (especially dogs), health, voluntary simplicity, travel, music, theatre and film.
I have previously owned dog boarding kennels, and I have a lot of experience in amateur theatre and amateur and professional film. I have been President of a theatre company, and I am currently treasurer. I am also studying piano at grade 7 level. My favourite composers are Beethoven and Chopin, but I'm also fond of Martha Mier.
