Is the catalog marketed any more?

Post by gators18 »

Or has CC lost interest and is just content to scrape whatever pennies come in off of 20 sales per day? I know — private requests and all that — but that's not something I'm interested in pursuing.

I've wondered the same thing. Four or five years ago I used to sell around 80% of articles within a couple of weeks. Now I sell maybe 20% in the first couple of weeks...the rest sit in the catalog for 3-9 months before selling, and there are far less hits on articles than there used to be. It's frustrating.

I'm wondering too. I am definitely not seeing the sales or views that I used to, even though I'm writing more now for CC than I did previously.

I'm not sure. Of the 12 articles I put up last week, I got 12 rejections and I'm a bit turned off by it and haven't fixed them yet.

But, prior to that fun, I had all but a couple of articles sell. This was for the 9/1 payout though. I did really well in Aug.

I haven't added anything to the gallery since the rejection scandal on here. I haven't made any sales either and I have hundreds of articles sitting around in the gallery. I'm kinda losing interest to be honest. If I have any unwanted client work I'll add it on here, but I'm not specifically writing for the site at the moment. It's not giving me enough return. I would be interested to hear more about CC's marketing though.
