How to separate a long article into parts

I have an article that has become to long to sell solo (3,500 words). It easily divides into three parts. But to do this, I would need to repeat some text (about 500 words) in each article so it is capable of standing on its own.

If I did that, article 1 would be 1,500 words of text, article 2 would be 1,400 words of text, and article 3 would be 1,500 words of text.

My idea is to explain this in each articles short summary and price them as if they did not include the repeated text.

Is this allowed? Is this a good idea? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks,
Darcy

Can't be done unless you reword the 500 words in each case. All articles have to be 100% original to pass copyrighting/duplicate content tests.

On the other hand, though, I've sold a 6,000 word article and numerous 2,500 to 3,000 word articles on here.
