Standard Punctuation Rules

Was reading the extended guidelines and it says to use "standard punctuation rules." Is this standard written or standard internet punctuation? One space or two after a period?

I don't think it matters. I always use two when writing, and a friend of mine on here uses one - both get accepted.

I always used two until one of the sites rejected my articles for it. Since then, I have used one space everywhere, but it's still a tough habit to break. As often as not, I now end my sentences with period, space, space, backspace.
