How Do You Close Your Account?

Post by Lisa-Anne Sanderson »

Hello everyone,

I have had a few rejections lately and I'm finding the C-C process quite stressful at the moment. I am seriously thinking of
closing my account. How do I do this? Can I get my unsold articles back?

I'm sure you can delete your articles if you'd like and use them elsewhere. I'd suggest you wait longer though to see if they eventually sell.

When I've had rejections I know my editing isn't going well. Try waiting a day and then read it out loud. It does wonders to read it out loud. Rejections hurt but it's part of strengthening and maturing.

Good luck.

Hi Kinsley,
Thank you very much. I am feeling a bit better about my writing now,
so I'll keep going!

I'm in the middle of On Writing by Stephen King. It's a must-read for writing fiction, but he offers a very similar idea to what KinsleyRoyale said - wait between your first and second draft. He suggests six weeks for books, but that scales down to two or three days for articles. That way, when you go back through you have a more objective eye for things.
