Average Wait for Approval?

Hi,
I've looked in the forums, but I haven't seen this question answered anywhere. What is your experience with wait time between when you submit the article and when it gets approved or rejected?

about 24 to 48 hours average except on weekends when the editors take a break.
Also, submissions for a request are processed first compared to articles on spec (without a request)

As there are a lot of requests at the moment, you may find that the review time is longer, especially for articles you write "on spec". However, you can write other articles and submit those in the meantime. I try to have at least one article in review most of the time, so that I have a consistent flow of approvals and, hopefully, sales. There is no guarantee of a timeframe, because it also depends on how many articles are waiting review. Editors are only human and cannot review 100 articles at the same pace as 10 articles. Basically, we just have to be patient and wait.
