I wanted to order an illustration, just a very simple logo to use on letterhead, envelopes and business cards. I was willing to pay for full rights to the custom illustration, and it would have been very easy to fulfil the order. I was not pulling a prank but offering an assignment as a genuine customer.

My order spent 14 days "pending approval" until I finally got tired of waiting and deleted it. I got the impression that CC didn't want to approve it and was using the strategy of stalling until I got impatient and went away.

If this is how CC treats its customers it's a wonder we get any sales at all.

The photo and illustrations section closed a couple of months ago. They just don't seem to sell. See the thread above this one titled "Photo and Illustrations Section Closing."

oDesk is the answer for getting a logo done cheap.

Why didn't I get a quick response telling me that it had closed? Or are customers expected to read the authors' forum?

It got so little traffic maybe they forgot to reprogram that part of the site.
