Sources Question

Hello! I am a little bit confused on where I'm supposed to list sources used in my research for articles written. Am I just supposed to say, for example, "According to the FDA, ....," or do I have to include endnotes somewhere on the submissions form? If I have to include a list where should I put it? Thanks!
