Hi all,
I'm not exactly new, as I have been registered with Constant Content as a writer for several years, but it has been a while since I've submitted an article. However, I finally got back into writing and am excited to have submitted an article today. For those who may remember me, I was always active on the forums and am looking forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones on this wonderful website that not only provides an easy market for writers, but provides great encouragement from other authors too. Celeste: you may remember an article I once wrote on the topic of "Towards an Acceptance of Infertility" that you kindly reviewed for me. Well, one of the main reasons I have been quiet on the website for the last couple of years is that I now have a miracle son, Joseph, who is the joy of my life. (Ten years ago, an infertility specialist said I had about 1 per cent chance of falling pregnant per IVF cycle where the average is 20 per cent, then I had an ovary removed that turned out was cancerous, then I fell pregnant 18 months later - totally unexpected as you can imagine!) Joseph is now 2 and extremely active. We read up to 20 books a day, so I have already indulged in a day dream of having a son who becomes a famous author, but right now, it's really all about loving and having fun. Look out for some parenting articles from me as I figure it all out myself. I also will continue to write in the business and health sections. I'm also a carer for my mother-in-law who is now 92 and has advanced dementia. I've been her full-time carer for 4 years now and part-time for about 7 years, so that is something else that takes up a lot of my time. However, I've been wanting to get back into the swing of regular writing for a while now, and of course the first place I came to was good old Constant Content!
Good to be back,
Hayley

Hi Hayley,

I remember you. :) Welcome back.

Grats on your son! My sis just had a baby. It wasn't a miracle but unexpected since she and I always said we weren't having kids. I just got back spending a month with my new little niece. It was so awesome watching this 2-day old human evolve even just a tiny bit for a month. I got to see her smile and open her eyes and look around. And dat baby smell! She's just the cutest little thing! I've already started a college fund for her. lol

I don't like kids, but when it's your own family, they suddenly become cute. :)

Good luck on submissions! It's about a week review time right now IME.

Hi Lysis,
Yes, I remember you too and very pleased to see you are still active on the forums. Yes, babies become even cuter when you are related to them. I'm sure you'll find you enjoy being an Aunty after all. Thanks for the heads up re the review times, obviously lots more submissions for the editors to work through these days; which is actually great as it means there are lots of authors making money here, otherwise the site wouldn't get that many submissions! Anyway, I hope I did everything right: it's been so long I had to carefully review the submission guidelines again. Thanks for the welcome back.
Kind regards,
Hayley
