I have a lot to learn about the CC website, so I'm going to study the Extended Writer Guidelines, FAQs, and forums.

I've submitted my first article, but haven't heard back yet. I guess I'll fasten my seat belt and keep writing.

You'll probably find it useful to read the entire forum, because there are some very good hints in the various posts.
The review queue is a of a log-jam at the moment, so please don't get too discouraged if it takes several days or a week to hear about your first article.
