Re: Quiet times here at Constant Content?
Summers are slow for me across the board everywhere...I can't escape it lol. I don't think I can make a full time living here, but I'm happy with the catalog sales. I use this place as backup and for extra money to pay off PayPal shopping sprees.

Re: Networking & Affiliate Marketing
hey thank you for those links. I was actually looking into the chatbot thing. I'm also thinking about Envato. Envato owns themeforest and codecanyon. I buy themes from themeforest and have some small experimental projects on codecanyon. I did pretty well. The nice thing about getting into that stuff...

Re: Networking & Affiliate Marketing
No I troll forums and make fun of IMers. xD I have a blog where I upload content mainly programming stuff to link to people. I'm trying to get out of the writing thing cuz I'm kinda bored of it. lol I have to keep it up until I find a replacement though. This time of year is so slow for me, so it's ...

Re: "Kick-off Meeting Webinar"
^ LOL Nothing annoys me more than when someone tells me how much they will give me. Umm, no, I'll tell you how much I charge and you decide if you want to pay the price. But so many writers just take whatever is offered and then complain when they don't make any money or budgets are too low. What do...

Re: "Kick-off Meeting Webinar"
It's up to you and your financial goals I suppose. I charge $85/hour, so that wouldn't be worth it to me. Trying to figure out how much I can work by doing this or that isn't my thing. I also bill by the hour, so for a 40 minute article, I would charge an hour at least regardless of what they give m...

Re: "Kick-off Meeting Webinar"
I've never been a part of that, but working for less and working more hours seems like you're going backwards. With experience comes higher pay and fewer hours. I'm down to just needing to bill 20 hours per week although I want 25. Whenever someone offers me tons of hours for lesser pay, I ask them ...

Re: Article Stolen from My Catalog
I'm sorry that this has happened to you and yes, please let us know how it goes! I have been in a similar situation before but it sorted itself out, thankfully. I had a client who I did some private work for and who also purchased a few articles from my catalog. However, he discovered that two of t...

Re: I hope it's okay to share my recent problem with a clien
yeah, don't write anything unless you think it will sell in the open catalog. There is no incentive for them to pay you. They have nothing invested when they request something and they can request content from multiple different places. He probably got the content from somewhere else. I'd throw 1500...

Re: Probably a silly question...
I'm pretty sure it's for writer pools. Most people can't pay my rates, so I skip them but I've been added regardless. They probably need help finding people.
The goal is to make more and work less, not work more and make less.

Re: What's this? Short Stories on CC?!
I think cc started in 2006, and it was allowed back then. I know it wasn't when I started in 2009.

yeah I had to go back and fix my old stuff even though I had it on 100% the whole time. They flipped it to 30% by default and uploaded a few and had to fix it.

There is another thread in one of the other forums asking the same thing. Looks like they haven't paid out yet.

I haven't either. I'm figuring that someone is on vacation from the holiday, so I hope they realize that it's payday and release it soon.
