Re: Articles selling for $0.00
Hey Word Gypsy, this sucks and I hope they fix it for you soon. I haven't had this happen to me but I only sold 1 private request this month.

Re: Writer Pool Sales
Until they have some kind of escrow system in place, I really think writers should avoid these pools. Maybe do a few so you don't lose out on too much time and money, but I definitely wouldn't make a full time effort on them. They should go into the open marketplace, but remember if they are brand s...

Re: Vague rejection
You have to check to make sure the request is listed after you choose private or public pool request. I just did a "private" request but it was listed only after I chose writer pool in the dropdown. I guess it depends on the type of request the customer uses when they set it up.

Re: Mystery of Disappearing Article
It all depends on the editor. I was all into an article once and it came to 2500 words. It went through and actually sold already.

Re: Constant Content's Aversion to Promotional Content
Yeah, that's what I meant. Wonder how many people complained that they didn't have a byline and then they are forced to contact the customer. Probably why unique went away too but I think that had more to do with nobody ever bought unique lol

Re: Constant Content's Aversion to Promotional Content
I'm guessing the removal of use was from the writers complaining that the rule was to have their byline. Just a guess though I don't know. I can't see how it was a bad thing for business but of course we're all on the outside and maybe there is a legit reason for it.

Re: Blog based on application sample rejected
Don't they give you a list of topics to choose from? If so I'm guessing they don't want a ton of articles on the same topic.

"waiting" also means the article is in someone's shopping cart

You can email them. I know your frustration on that one. I usually just leave it until it suddenly gets taken out. I would give it a couple weeks though.

There are a few ways I think they are falling behind, personally. No images, no links are two I can think of.

Re: Constant Content's Aversion to Promotional Content
I never try to interpret some of these rogue rejections. lol Last year at this time, I had to stop submitting because some editor was just saying "errors" and then purging my content. Wait a few months and another editor thinks it's fine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've done some things specifically for some products like Google APIs and things. Is it a popular brands? I haven't gotten that rejection yet.

Re: Setting Pay for Writer Pool Requests
I'm always over people's budget, so I'm used to say "nah, need to add some zeros, broski." lol I don't really do writer's pools, but I do remember this one person that put a higher price for an article and the site owners (or editor maybe?) lowered the price and said that it didn't match t...

Requests are faster. It just depends with catalog stuff.

Re: How do private requests work?
There isn't. If I were you, I'd tell them that you'll do 1 and see what happens. I wouldn't spend too much time on it before testing it out. I had one person buy something from me in my catalog and then ask me for a custom article and never paid me. I know at Upwork there are a lot of writers who do...
