Re: Yikes. Rejected, and a lesson learned. Maybe.
It's hard to get your favourite bits squashed, happened to me more than a few times, but in the end it's a certain sort of writing they want, and it's useful to be able to do it. You can't let go and write expressively here. Cutting the crap is definitely the thing. For example I would never put 'mo...

Re: Twiddling my thumbs
I think that if you fix the problem and resubmit, it should stand the same chance as anything else, but I would definitely change the title.

Re: Twiddling my thumbs
If it's a project in the sense of something that's been claimed by you, or a private request, I wouldn't worry too much. I think those go through more easily, and the merciless liquidations are reserved general speculative articles. There were indeed faults with my purged article. I just wish that t...

Re: Twiddling my thumbs
I just got a purge today, ouch, I think they are trying to get through a large backlog and it's simplest to hit the purge button, to avoid getting the same article back with tweaks done so quickly that their inbox never goes down!
At least, that's what I tell myself.
Ouch.

Re: Promoting Your Constant Content Portfolio - Yes or No?
Thanks for the info Lysis, and Pellucidean. My problem is that I can't refer to my previous writing as my work, since it's always been done under a pen name. I suppose I would have to build up a profile gradually within the site itself, rather than use work done elsewhere as a reference. I'll have a...

Re: Promoting Your Constant Content Portfolio - Yes or No?
Hello Lysis and HG, and Happy New Year!
Lysis, do you write for UpWork in your real name or penname? I started creating a profile, but forgot to use my penname, and I'm confused as to whether I can do that on the site.....do you go under Lysis or your actual name?
Many thanks for any advice.

Key Words sounding silly!
This is probably a daft question but when customers want articles with a key phrase that's geographical, like eg 'widget polisher, Dumpton' or whatever, how do you make it not sound bizarre when the title is something like 'Well-Polished Widgets Can Change Your Life' a very general statement with no...

Re: Hello to everyone
Hello and welcome!
The only general advice I would offer is to try not to take setbacks like unreasonably harsh edits too personally. The forum is good for getting help with any particular issues as they arise.
All the best.

Re: How long does it normally take to get accepted?
I can't say, as I joined a while ago. But I think maybe you are looking at posts about the editorial process that each submission goes through, rather than the initial vetting? Anyway, I imagine they let you know either way, and the best course is probably to start getting some submissions ready...y...

Welcome to the forum! It's often pretty quiet, unless there's a major issue going on, but if you have a problem then it's an excellent place to get advice and support. All the best.

Re: How can a writer upgrade Access Level?
Escturtle, it sounds as though you are doing really well, I have never heard of someone with no rejections before! I asked the same question, because the process isn't transparent, and the answer was basically that it's a mixture of things, which left me very little the wiser. But I think they revie...

Re: Confused!
Hi thanks for the response. I have seen other posts specifically relating to this project but I appreciate that there could be a concern for client's confidentiality. I hope that the first poster has had her query resolved!https://www.constant-content.com/forum/posting.php?mode=reply&f=2&t=7...
