Re: Writer pool question - price changed after article claim
As one of the lesser mortals who has not been invited to join any pool, I was interested in the suggestion about emailing support and asking to be invited to the Australian pool. How does one find out exactly what pools exist?

Re: Questions about editing and deleting my content
I suspect lots of writers, including me, are happy that we can go back and look at old sold content. we might want to review our pricing, look at our choice of keywords, our summary etc. There is a filter option in My Content that lets you select only View articles for example. Unfortunatley, as far...

Re: Questions about editing and deleting my content
Hi Gail, Why are articles sold for full rights still available to be edited? I You cannot edit any of your content once it's been approved, regardless of whether or not it's sold or still available for sale. You can only change things like summaries, prices etc., which would be pointless if the arti...

Submitting existing article for a request
While it is straightforward to submit an existing article for a request, is there any way to tell what articles I have already suggested for a particular request?

Re: Questions about usage licenses, requests and bylines.
Jak is correct about the rules. My point is this - if you publish work, it will almost certainly be wholly or partially copied, and either uncredited or credited to somebody else. It would be virtually impossible for CC, or anybody else, to know whether your work is the original version. It would be...

Re: Questions about usage licenses, requests and bylines.
A key selling point of CC is that all the work accepted here is unique. If you have previously published content, then it is no longer unique, and is unacceptable at CC. You run the risk of having your account closed, even if you have plagiarized or copied your own material. That applies regardless ...

Re: Does this look right to you?
Grammatically, the editor is correct. However, I agree with you that sticking to the grammar rules makes the clause look a bit clunky. When I find myself with this type of construction, I just rewrite the clause or sentence. For example, you could have written "...in for a big surprise. Sadly, ...

Re: Is there a technical problem?
Thanks for your reply, csj. I resubmitted again today, and the status changed to Resubmitted. It was then approved almost immediately. However, it has been sitting in limbo for a week. I just wish someone from CC would advise on problems like these. I'd prefer to raise issues like this on the forum r...

Is there a technical problem?
I noticed on My Content that an article status had changed to Rejected. I got no rejection email or notification. When I went into Edit article, there was a note stating the font or spacing was wrong. I resubmitted the article, but now my home page states there are no articles under review, yet the ...

Articles with "Waiting" status
Is there any way to find out how long an article has been in "Waiting" status? I noticed one of my articles was "waiting" and the forums tell me that means it's in somebody's cart waiting for funds to clear. The problem is that I have no idea how long it has been like that, and w...

Re: I feel like such an idiot!
Are you having problems with the submission page, or have you had your article rejected because it does not meet guidelines? If its the latter, the rejection notice(s) should tell you the reason for the rejection(s).

Re: Include summary and excerpt in the submitted file as wel
The summary and excerpt should not be included in the submitted file. The submitted file is what the customers buy and they will want to avoid editing. What you call the file is totally irrelevant as far as CC is concerned. However, for your own local copy, which you need to keep in case you have to...

Re: Please can we have some common sense!
Thanks for the reply. Just to make it clear - I am not really bothered about the copyright claim being removed from the sold article, and it is certainly not an issue I want to take up with CC or anybody else. I merely mentioned it as an example of what happens in the real world. I am sure had it be...

Please can we have some common sense!
I've just had an article rejected because I included a copyright notice at the end, with the rejection message saying that the license type determines the copyright. 1. Unless the customer purchases full rights, I own the copyright on my work. The only way I can claim copyright is by putting the cla...
