Re: Choose your featured articles?

I must agree that the Featured Articles feature on CC is pretty useless. Mine seems to fluctuate between showing the five most recent articles and the three most recent. I can't seem to get it to show more than 3 articles at a time, at the moment. There is no good reason not to have a long list of e...

Questions about the RSS Feed

Hi - On my CC Profile Page, I notice there's a link to my author RSS feed. I also notice that though I have about 16 articles currently for sale on CC, my RSS feed only lists the ten most recent ones. I was wondering why it doesn't list every article I have for sale on CC. Secondly, how can I use th...

Cursor has changed to selection tool in submission box

Hi - Been on the site a couple of months, written 60 or so articles, sold 40-something, it's all good. Except about a week ago I noticed for the first time that in the submission box, my cursor had mysteriously changed into a white cross with 4 arrows (selection tool), instead of a standard cursor. ...

Re: What is your CC "Eureka" moment?

Thanks, TopQuark. I think in my case I mostly just got lucky the first month with the timing of available writer pools. Funnily enough, the very first article I sold on CC (a 1500-word Public Request) was on the subject of how to increase your productivity as a freelance writer - cheeky. When I writ...

Re: What is your CC "Eureka" moment?

I recognised the value of CC when I made nearly $1000 during my very first month (Nov 2013), and sold the majority of articles submitted - working very part-time. I think one aspect of CC that is perhaps not given due recognition is that all the time you save by not having to market your work means ...

Getting onto the Find An Author Page

Could someone tell me how one ends up on the Find An Author page on CC's site? I have written over 40 articles and am nowhere to be found there. Just wondering...

Re: Best free video editor?

Most free video editors are free because they're basic and not much good, to be honest. For my Remote River Man expedition videos, I edited with Sony Vegas Platinum 10 (there's probably a newer version out by now) on my PC. Not sure I'd call it reasonably priced, but it certainly does a professional...

Insurance articles on waiting status for 10 days

My initial Insurance Topics writer pool articles (10 or 11 of them) have been reviewed, but have been frozen in Waiting status since Nov 12th (10 days). Is this normal, or is there a glitch in the system?

Not on the Find a Writer page...

Just checked out the Find a Writer page on CC and noticed I'm not on it, though I've written over 30 articles. I have a profile, of course - just wondering how people's bios get up on there so people can find them...

Re: URGENT - Google Profile authorship hyperlink

Perhaps I don't understand what a Google Authorship link is (my background is writing/publishing books & articles in print form - I know absolutely nothing about hyperlinks or HTML markup). I thought when you put an Authorship link at the end of your article in the markup form that includes <a h...

URGENT - Google Profile authorship hyperlink

Hi - Looking at the new writer pool requests (Credit Cards & Loans) I notice the client wants authors to put a link to their Google Plus Profile in a footer at the end of the article. I have created a Google profile, and thought I had followed the correct procedure (provided by the client, plus ...

Current procedure for writers pool invite jobs?

Hi - How does it work these days to accept a block of writers pool jobs? If you are invited by the Content Manager (Eric) to participate in a specified writers pool (team) request, how will you know (a) exactly when they begin, if they haven't already (b) where to find them on the CC site and (c) ho...

One 600-word article or two 300-word articles?

I've read that articles in the 500-700 word range sell the best, but was wondering if, generally speaking, a large amount of short articles sells better over time than half as many longer ones. In other words, if an author writes a hundred 450-word articles one year, then writes fifty 900-word artic...
