Re: Oxford Comma
Hi Lisa-Anne, I also think that the comma is unnecessary, probably because it's a short sentence. I think we've all been rejected due to commas sometimes, and it's the most frustrating reason because it isn't the end of the world! If a comma interrupts the flow of the sentence and just isn't necessa...

Re: Oxford Comma
I get confused too. Sometimes a comma isn't really necessary but we feel we have to put it in to please the editors. Here is a link that explains commas. I think this is the site that the editors refer us to. Hope it helps. http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/607/02/

Thanks for the reply, Lysis. I haven't been seeing many similar titles in recent sales, but will keep looking. It was a great way to earn money!

Are energy, broadband and insurance articles still selling?
Hi guys, I was wondering if our wonderful UK buyer is still around. I haven't seen any standing requests for energy, mobile, broadband or insurance for a while. Someone on the forum mentioned that these requests might only be available in writer pools now. Does anyone know? I have asked CC and recei...

Re: How do I submit a Standing Request?
Hi annetterowena, If there's a time limit or a short time period in which to submit articles, they usually say so. This one looks like it's ongoing for a while, and 50 articles are needed. When you submit one using the usual "submit article" page, next to the question "Is this for a r...

Re: Issues With "Wordiness" Anyone?
Hi. Sometimes if my sentences are getting a bit too long and wordy, I split them into two. If you are comfortable doing it, you could post an example or two so we can help you. There are plenty of writers here on the forum who would be happy to advise you I'm sure.

Re: Customer request: how to handle?
Hi geniuswaitress, I think you should ask the buyer to put through a public request. I'm not sure if this is true for everyone or not, but in my case private requests always get edited and sent through much quicker than public requests or articles I submit to the general pool. I think that would wor...

Well done, Stelle! I agree. Selling for a tiny amount isn't usually worth it. So glad you got the sales!

Re: song and book titles
Hi again mizrae, This link should help you. It talks about italicizing titles. It comes from a site that Constant Content refers us to for other things in the submission guidelines. If you are worried about being rejected, just email CC and ask your question, and they will let you know or refer you ...

I use italics for titles now. It seems to be the modern way, and doesn't look messy.

Re: Should I delete and start over?
I definitely wouldn't give up! If you know the problem is a wordy sentence, then split it into two or shorten it to a length that is easy to read and understand. They're helping you make it error-proof, so adjust that part, check the rest and resubmit for sure!! You'll be fine.

Re: Broadband, Insurance and Credit Card Articles
Hi CC, Thanks so much for your fast editing and hard work! I was just wondering about the price for these articles (but it's not urgen). In the email it was mentioned that we can price a 700 word article for $60 for these requests today. Does this apply to all the articles requested for this custome...

Re: Sold My First Article - Can I Write it Again?
Hi Kaytee, I think if you've bothered to do the research on a particular topic for an article and you have sold it, you should definitely rewrite it and fill the void so you can get another sale. It also means your research isn't going to waste, and your second article will probably be written more ...
