The big order that was coming in last Friday

Last week I got an email from CC asking to help them stock up the catalog for certain categories in preparation for multiple big orders that were coming by last Friday. Did anyone else have a lot of articles go for those? I made no sales and I'm wondering if the sales didn't happen or if they did an...

Re: Sales stalled

The new standing requests are giving me hope that there's a big order on the horizon. I've also noticed something weird going on with the forum. This page is displaying in Times New Roman font with no background. I'm assuming you're seeing the same thing as me.

Batch submit to requests

It'd be great if there was a way to submit multiple articles with a submission without having to send a new message for each one.

Re: Articles under review for days

The other trend that seems to be happening this year is a preponderance of 5 cent a word requests (did someone mention belly fat?). Maybe this is what's clogging up the system - a high volume of low-paid, generic-type articles. Also, articles that state a price in the description that's lower than ...

Usage vs Full Rights for Different Categories

I've been working on diversifying my catalog recently, and a customer purchased a Beauty article for usage rights after making me an offer. This was the first time I've sold a usage rights article as I typically charge the same for all three types of licenses. Has anyone noticed if different types o...

Re: Rejected...with no errors?

Well at least now I know for sure that it's common and I didn't magically start to suck at writing in January.

They usually get sent back. It's probably just an error, CC will fix it if you contact them directly.

Re: Rejected...with no errors?

These types of rejections have become a lot more common the past couple of months. Guess we just have to get used to it.

Re: Self-Promotion/Marketing, Pen Name, etc.

For some reason, I find it comforting to know that some of my CC colleagues have pink hair and spiked wristbands. I always wondered how out of place my long hair and tattoos made me here.

Re: So How Are Sales?

Looking forward to that season. I wasn't very active between last March and July. My best months have the past few as I've simply been churning out more volume.

It seems like the inline comments only work at all about half of the time.

Re: "Sounds awkward"

I write all tech too and probably my biggest kick backs are "awkward" too or the dreaded "wordy" message. :^) I write a lot of Internet articles and phone reviews and I'm suddenly flooded with those since the new year. Might have to ditch the phone reviews altogether now that me...

Re: "Sounds awkward"

I wound up saying that it would require several gigabytes of data. I thought about just saying that it's "several gigabytes," but that seems like it would be improper. To use an example with another unit, I would say that someone is ten feet tall, not that they're ten feet.

"Sounds awkward"

Just got a rejection for a sentence that refers to a file as being "several gigabytes large." No assertion that this is grammatically incorrect, just "awkward." Seems like a pointless nitpick as well as a waste of both my and the editors' time, but maybe someone else can shed a l...
