Re: Question about submitting for private requests
All my private requests have sold, so I have never worried about not getting paid. I think that because you accepted a request for the five articles and the client wrote and said to keep writing them in the same style, you should have no problem. I'd be surprised if it didn't work out. Think about i...

Re: Question about submitting for private requests
Hi, It's great that the client bought your first piece and wanted the others to be similar - well done! It sounds like the client has only had a couple of days since you submitted the rest of them, so I would just wait and give them some time because they might be busy with other work. I have no ide...

Re: Question about submitting for private requests
Well done! On the submission page, use the dropdown box "not for a request" and in the list you'll find "private request". Your request title should be listed in there so you can select it, and from my experience it means that not only does your article get sent straight to the c...

Re: Personal style...?
I agree. This site seems to be about high quality, correct writing, and I think there must be better outlets for more creative writing elsewhere.

Re: Probs submitting article for Public Request
If you've ever received an email from CC with the editor's email address at the bottom of it, that's the quickest way to get a reply on this. It wouldn't be good to let the client wait too long, and submitting something that isn't attached to a request usually seems to take longer to be approved. If...

Re: Will I lose full license if....
Good on you for asking the question, Kitagrl! Don't take the offer! Once CC takes their cut, you'll be left with nothing anyway. You have a chance of making a lot more if you leave it in the catalogue for a while and a different buyer buys it. Sometimes if you reject an offer they'll make a better o...

Re: Multiple Citations = Not Original Work?
Hi light87, I have to say I don't know anything about the subject you're writing about, but I write articles for a client about financial news relevant to a couple of different countries. Statistics are useful, but I try not to use too many. I use them to back up my point or to catch the reader's in...

Re: What is your CC "Eureka" moment?
Sounds good, Gail. Well done! I definitely agree with doing the editing the next day when you are fresh. If you do get a rejection try not to feel too miserable about it but just keep going and learn from it. It happens to all of us. I think this site is wonderful and I think you'll enjoy working he...

Good for you, Pellucidean. I hope it goes well for you. Let us know how you get on! Yes, stick around on CC and see if you start getting into writer pools after a year or 18 months maybe. You never know...

Re: Problem with Private Request emails
I know how you guys feel!
I had two private requests that I luckily found on my projects page, but no email notifications. Today the notifications are working again on my account. Hope it's all sorted now.
Have a good day, everyone.
