Re: 3 day review for Public Requests
I suspect it will, and it could be longer if the system doesn't work properly as sometimes happens. In any case, I think that CC should know about this. In case they haven't picked it up here, I would shoot an email to support, and then you can ask them to release your article to the catalogue.

Re: Submitted as standing request - how to change?
I don't believe that categories influence sales that much. (If anyone knows better, please do let us know). Your article should get into the main catalogue anyway if it is not snapped up. As long as you have added relevant keywords and phrases to the submission, it should be found by interested cust...

Re: Questions about usage licenses, requests and bylines.
If you reuse previous work here, it must be obvious that you were the original author, so if it has your name it's fine to offer it for usage rights. If it doesn't have an author name or you used a different one, you could be accused of plagiarism and thrown out. So be warned, and be sure. I think y...

Re: awkward wording!
I think it applies to all punctuation marks. I used to even break a keyword phrase with a new paragraph, but have recently been asked not to do that any more. Being able to use the end and start of a phrase or sentence is a great help though.

Re: Wasting my life on refreshing
I just read the other thread on this and it looks like there is just one or two people taking all the jobs, possibly for outsourcing, so it probably isn't really worth trying for this pool anymore.
Where is that other thread about this? I don't remember seeing it.

Re: Title case in subheads
When you put a title in the submission page, make sure the Auto-capitalization box is ticked. I'm not sure how this works, but would imagine it will change what it doesn't like. If anything is changed, make sure your document matches it before you upload.

Re: New, and some questions!
Review times vary considerably so I can't answer your first question. As you are new, I would not submit more till you see whether they are accepted. That doesn't mean you should stop writing though. Line them up ready to submit, but when that time comes give them another good proofreading first. An...

Re: Some newbie questions - author byline and websites
Hi Emma & welcome. I can give you some of the answers you need, drawing from my own experience. 1) It's best to add a byline under your article title in the document, otherwise you won't be credited as you should be for usage or unique rights if these are purchased. It doesn't have to be your us...

Re: Low percentage of purchased articles?
Not sure how you got your stats, but I know that only the last 20 sales are listed on the site. Sometimes I have been notified of a sale and never see it in the list becasue by the time I get there, it is way past the last 20. regarding the sales percentage, my own experience is that the number of l...

Re: "waiting" as article status
Sorry this reply is a bit late but I just got here. You may have found that your article has sold in the interim, but if it is still waiting it is becasue a customer liked it enough to put it in their shopping basket, but changed their mind about buying it for some reason. Shoot an email to support ...

I can't really take the credit. It was something I learnt here - from our very own Celeste.

Hi Nell and welcome. Congrats on your first acceptance. Hope there have been more, and perhaps some sales, since then.

Welcome dissidence. Rather a late one, but I think everyone is either on holiday or scribbling away.
