Have you ever had your article accepted verbatim?

Hey fellow CC authors, Meh, I've been trying really hard to get my acceptance % up. It seems to be at 50% or so atm. I think a good indicator of progress is when fewer edits are made to my accepted articles. So I was wondering, for those of you with high acceptance %, are most of your articles accep...

Re: I JUST SOLD A $160-ARTICLE :D

I write a lot of content that goes against the SEO common school of thought. People seem to like them, so I say continue with cheeky. lol Hey Lysis, congrats on selling that $150 app advice article! Long articles ftw :D. I guess HiredGun and you are on a roll now haha. I'm gonna stick to writing sh...

Re: Firt Time Rejection Reason

Nvm. The editor reviewing my last article just approved it with a two-sentence conclusion. I think that all of CC's editors should be uniform in their format rules, at least. I mean it just feels weird that my article would've been rejected by your editor, and your article would've been accepted by ...

Re: I JUST SOLD A $160-ARTICLE :D

Congratulations on the sale! Wonderful news and very motivating too, right? :D There is definitely a market for longer, meatier content, especially on evergreen topics. Even blogging and podcasting masters recommend it: http://www.problogger.net/archives/2015/06/19/how-to-build-your-blogs-audience-...

I JUST SOLD A $160-ARTICLE :D

I'm so happy :D, someone actually bought my 1420-word article for $160. It was like a completely random thing! I mean it was accepted in May, then I gave up on it since it didn't seem to be selling... then randomly last night, BAM!

Re: Firt Time Rejection Reason

I know I'm a CC noob, but the way I see it - writing is evolving. Unlike science or medicine which rarely goes back on itself, writing is an art, so there aren't any set rules or whatever and format is more of a zeitgeist thing. One year, good writing should be restricted to 300-word articles, the n...

Trending Keywords?

Hey guys, Idk why no one's asked this, I guess that means no one's really noob when it comes to SEO before coming to CC. Anyway, I just recently understood the breadth of what "keyword density" actually means in praxis when writing an article. I.e: Your article is more likely to sell if yo...

Re: Original Content Rejected as Unoriginal

Oh and you should really try googling before posting :)

If that isn't yours, then he's making lots of cash off of a free article for /no/ reason.

Re: Original Content Rejected as Unoriginal

More than likely, CopyScape, or whatever CC uses is really really awesomely sophisticated! I MEAN, it was ABLE TO FIND YOUR ARTICLE DESPITE IT ONLY BEING POSTED IN QUEUE ON A CONTENT MILL. That's awesome. I mean, somehow, it found it! Through all that restricted access, and deletions... it found it....

Re: Word Count

If this is the first time submitting your article, just click on "submit article" then go to My Content and click on "edit" next to the article... the wordcount is automagically there next to the "Full Rights"/usage/unique pricing section. If you're updating the article...

Re: Multiple Citations = Not Original Work?

Hi light87, I have to say I don't know anything about the subject you're writing about, but I write articles for a client about financial news relevant to a couple of different countries. Statistics are useful, but I try not to use too many. I use them to back up my point or to catch the reader's i...

Multiple Citations = Not Original Work?

Hi, I recently tried to submit an article, and came up with this: "==== Editorial Information for Your Article: ==== Sorry, but we cannot accept this article. There's so many references and citations that it's not really an original work. It's more other people's articles than your own. We woul...

Re: Resubmission question

Hi! Wow, congrats on your article acceptance! It's pretty rare that a new writer gets an acceptance without any revisions. I think you'll do well here! Lysis is right - I'm pretty OC about getting rejections or revisions as I don't want to get banned, so the one article I did revisions for - I click...

Re: Ellipses Rejection Question

I'm sorry everyone! I should have researched the answer to my question before stupidly asking it on forums. According to http://grammar.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/marks/ellipsis.htm, "When words at the beginning of a quoted sentence are omitted, it is not necessary to use an ellipsis to indicate t...
