Re: Offer offer offer... and no sales.

I've not had any offers, but I can tell you that Info is a client - he/she has bought a few of my articles in the past.

Re: Anyone experiencing rejection on those political topics?

Do you guys need any help? I'm pretty free work wise for the next week and don't mind helping write some for you at cost price so you can still make your own profit. You know where to find me if you need me. If not just try and relax, the editing process on here is beyond frustrating sometimes, espe...

Re: I've made an editor really mad :(

I'm a noob to this site, with two articles submitted and only one accepted, but I can tell you that it is not proper to use this or that in reference to a previous sentence: that is what a colon is for. Do you have any references where it says you should not use 'this' at the beginning of...

Re: I'm new, and my first article was accepted!

Hey Paul, Welcome to CC. Congrats on getting your first article accepted. It looks great :) I hope you have lots of success here. I also struggle with working in the 'real world', so freelance writing is the ideal career choice! (not to mention that you can work in your PJ's all day if you want to) ...

Re: Do you share your Constant Content articles on social me

I run a book review website Abba, and I had someone get in touch with me asking me to edit their book and write a review. At the end of it, they just thanked me. No hint of payment at all! I don't think they realise how long it actually takes to read through 70,000+ words and edit it. I tried to hal...

Re: Resubmitted First Article

There seems to be around a one week wait on submissions at the moment. It also depends on the category I think. I've resubmitted some articles that have been checked within hours, whereas I have one that's been waiting for over a week to be re-checked. It shouldn't be too much longer for you hopeful...

Re: Do you share your Constant Content articles on social me

I've had to use the dispute system on Elance too before, and I got my money, even though it took over a month. The client ordered some work and needed it urgently so I did it the same day. She was happy with it and published it, and then disappeared without paying me. I complained to Elance and they...

Re: Do you share your Constant Content articles on social me

Wow, that's awful. I'm not sure what the laws are like in the States, but in the UK we can make a claim in court for the money owed. Was there no way around getting the money she owed you? I wish there were laws that protected freelancers better. Unfortunately over here, the laws just take the major...

Re: Do you share your Constant Content articles on social me

Sorry to hear about your experiences with clients outside of CC Renee. I work for quite a lot outside of CC and haven't had any issues for a while - I had a lot of problems when I first started out though, with people not paying. I prefer Twitter to Facebook for social media - that said, neither hav...

Do you share your Constant Content articles on social media?

I've started advertising a few of my gallery articles on Twitter in the hopes that it will build sales. No luck as yet, but it can't hurt right? I just wondered if anyone else shares their CC profile or articles via social media, and if you've had any success...

Re: Do New Articles Stimulate Old Catalog Sales?

I think they do. At the very least, if you have a lot of articles showing up on the home page, you're getting your name noticed by the regular clients on the site. I know that when I don't submit new articles for a while, my sales can dry up. But it's hard for me to do it regularly with the long app...

Re: I've made an editor really mad :(

I'd never realised that using 'there are' was a problem until I joined Constant Content. I mean, I can understand it if it's the first word in a paragraph. But if the 'there are' relates to something in the previous sentence, I would think most readers would understand what is being referenced. I've...

Re: Different editors for different topics

I got a pretty sarcastic rejection for wordiness the other day - see the 'rejections' forum. Looks like they're all in a bad mood right now... :?

Re: I've made an editor really mad :(

I didn't argue with her, and I left a note saying I was sorry that I made her so mad. It's still pending review, so don't know where I stand at the moment but we'll see. I have a lot of articles available for sale, so hopefully they won't want to waste the time they spent reading them by banning me....
