Re: 2 week review time for a 400 word article?

Well, I've only been here for a few months, but my resubmissions have always been addressed very quickly. The initial editorial review has often taken a long time (as long as two weeks), though, it's true. I think they prioritize articles submitted for requests. Recently I had two articles approved ...

Re: 2 week review time for a 400 word article?

Why are you thinking it will take another two weeks? Every time I've resubmitted an article, it's reviewed again very quickly. Your article will probably be up by tomorrow.

Re: Requested Content page vs. requests on Account Status pa

Okay, so the areas of expertise shows up on the Edit My Request Settings page? Or on My Profile? There are green boxes in both areas, but they seem to be of different sorts. Also, are Areas of Expertise actually based on articles accepted? Or on sales? Because the numbers listed for the various cate...

Re: The Submission Page Adds Spaces and Changes Font

I'm not sure if the spaces will cause your articles to be rejected. The spacing seems to change in my articles as soon as I submit or save them, but I've never had any editor say anything about it. I could be wrong, though, and I've never had any experience with font size changes.

Re: Updated Request System

Interesting stuff. I'm a little confused about some things, though. What exactly is the difference between writer pool requests and public requests? And what exactly happens if you claim a request? Does that mean only you can work on that article? And do you have to submit an article after you claim...

Re: Does This Happen to Anyone Else?

Extra spaces seem to show up in my submitted articles all the time. I submit with what appears to be single spaces between paragraphs, but then the gap is larger if I go back and look at the article. It's never got any of my articles rejected, though. I've also noticed that if I start typing in the ...

Re: Spelling errors on Constant Content's own site?

I've noticed a number of errors myself. They probably aren't a huge deal, but… If I were a client browsing around a website that marketed itself on its ability to provide high quality, well written content, I think I might be put off by the number of simple mistakes on the website itself. Maybe I'm ...

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

I'm a new writer who has mostly had no trouble with the editors. (Except for one article which was outright rejected for not offering useful information or actionable content… which would've been fine, except I see articles published all the time that definitely aren't offering actionable content.) ...

Re: Payday?

Another user posted about not getting paid over in the Author Exchange forum, so that's at least three people who weren't paid. I did get paid though.

I was paid on the third, so maybe there's been some error on CC's part with your account.

Re: Unique Content and My Name

Thanks for the information Gators, that's very helpful. I wish CC would make clear that you can include a byline. Without it the option for selling for unique rights seems almost pointless. I've had one unique sale that was posted without my name, but now I see the buyer did nothing wrong… I'll be i...

The Wisdom of Lowering Prices?

I'm a new writer, and I'm wondering if any of the the more experienced writers have any input on whether or not it's a good idea to lower prices on articles that aren't selling after a certain point. A few of my articles are now about a month old, and haven't received any sales or offers yet. Is the...
