Re: Are CC editors slipping?

Yeah, I guess even editors get tired and miss things. I'd never seen any public requests for first person accounts but I guess it's not out of the question. Maybe it was private. The price tag on it was rather high considering not many people on here are looking for articles like that and the blatan...

Are CC editors slipping?

Or have they just changed the rules? I opened an article on the home page (the newest feature articles) and in reading the article excerpt there were two places where the author wrote "new" when it should have been "knew". There were a couple other questionable grammar things. No...

Re: Resubmitted?

I sometimes wonder if they don't look at the titles and certain types of articles they will review quicker. An article I submitted this morning was accepted within an hour but the two before that took over a week. There seems to be different wait times for different articles. Maybe they go for the o...

Re: College education for writers???

I've taken a number of online courses at universalclass.com. Their courses are really cheap (compared to college) and you have six months to complete them which is plenty of time. Sounds like an advertisement, I know, but they have some great writing courses and my classmates have been from various ...

Re: Resources on requests

Thanks for the info Linda. Good information to know. They just don't want something that will directly link to the page. One more question. Do I have to put the whole website address or can I just put the main site? As example, can I put just livestrong.com or do I have to put the whole address like...

Resources on requests

I am writing an article for a request that states they want all resources at the end of the article. I know CC doesn't accept website addresses/sources in articles. Will they if the requester asks for it? I'm worried it will get rejected as I know if this requester doesn't take it, the article will ...

Re: Getting That First Sale

Trying different topics is probably a good idea. I've been writing here since May. Some of my articles sell within hours of being accepted but others just seem to sit there. Through trial and error I'm learning what sells most and find my niche here. Keep plugging everyone.

Re: Current Review Times?

The same with me. I've had a number of articles in review for over a week. I have had it take over a week before sometimes. It depends how busy those editors are. I guess they are extremely busy now! It is vacation time.

Re: Creating previews with the important stuff missing?

I'm a relative newbie here myself. I have been posting only about 1/3 to 1/2 of the article in the preview and I've sold three articles using this method. I can't imagine how posting the whole thing would make that much of a difference in sales. Customers should realize the reasons why a writer woul...

Re: Are editors costing this site business?

I'm relatively new to site myself and have had to do a number of revisions due to the editors remarks but I try not look at it as a bad thing. I'm hoping their comments are going to turn me into a better writer. They have referred me to a number of grammar and punctuation sites that have been very h...
