Re: Question about Public Pool Requests

The emails come out after the requests go out on CC, so by the time you've clicked on the email it's probably too late! I was in a pool once were the customer would send out an email to everyone involved beforehand to say that requests would be coming through shortly, so you knew if you wanted to cl...

Problem with Private Request emails

...as in, I'm not getting any! I'm getting emails for writer pool projects that I'm even not interested in, but had two private requests in the last week or so that I wasn't made aware of - the first one Eric emailed me on the deadline day to ask how I was getting on (first I heard of it  ) a...

Re: Public pool project expired

When did you send the email? I had this in December, I incorrectly assumed one article but it was all ten! I actually had an email from Sienna the day before it closed asking how I was getting on with the other nine.

99% of the time, this is someone who is outsourcing and farmers/outsourcers will screw you over if they don't get paid.
Why is there not a 'like' button on this forum? :D

Re: Strange Request

I did click the link (living on the edge!), but my anti-virus wouldn't let me visit it because it 'exhibits one or more risky behaviours'. I've just replied to say what happened and asking for more info. Seems like a dodgy request to spin an existing article to me.

Why thank you kind lady

I think there are some duff talent clouds paying peanuts, but I don't mind if less people are interested, ha ha!

Re: Elance?

I'm with you on the talent clouds Lysis, I work with a major international pharmaceutical company through Elance as part of their talent cloud, and they have big budgets. If you look at it as a 'per word' price, I've made between $1.60 and $11 per word (that's 11 dollars per word, not 11 cents). Obv...

Re: Resource link?

Ooh, that's interesting Lysis! If I wasn't so snowed under with work at the moment I would have picked a couple up just to help out (I usually avoid the $20 requests like the plague!), but there's no way I'd find the time - I'm going to check out the instructions now.

Re: Requested Content

Do you have the 'requested content' tab on your home page, between 'submit article' and 'find writer'? I click on that and there's currently two pages of requested content.

Looking at my request settings, I think I could claim it because I'm approved as an expert in finance - they're finance articles.

Re: New Writer Pool requests

Aaaaand, nearly done! Just taking a quick break then finishing up the final of the 10  Hopefully this will stop anyone else making the same mistake I did, not realising that a WP request for 10 articles actually meant one writer to write them all (I know, I know, it sounds so obvious to me no...

Re: New Writer Pool requests

Just had another 'terrible thought' and I've emailed Sienna to check. The stated budget is $50-$100 and I'm working on the assumption that it's per article, not $50-$100 for all 10 articles. Hmm, if the client only wants to spend $5-$10 per article at least I'll have 10 more for my catalog!
