Re: Pay date?

Yikes! I guess I got skipped. Sent a message to customer service just now, hopefully they'll work it out. The sale was June 17 so definitely I should have been paid last week. The balance still shows as "available" in my account, and nothing in Paypal.

Thanks!

Pay date?

I thought the pay date was the first week of each month.... I sold an article in June and was wondering when I can expect the money to be deposited into Paypal in July?

Thanks in advance!

Well, that was a bit frustrating

So I had an approved article for a request...but the person never bought it after a week, so I resubmitted the article as a regular article available for public purchase. The second editor marked TONS of "mistakes" that the first editor had approved as a good article. Not only that, but th...

Re: Writers pools

Oh wait...so THIS is why I get writer's pools in my email and then I get online and there is nothing? Today I went online as soon as I received the email and could not find the writer's pool topic anywhere. So that means it was full in less than two minutes?

Re: Application Process/Criteria For Writer's Pools

I've been recieving a few Writer Pool email invites, but then when I come to the site, I can't find it anywhere and it is unavailable to me. It's frustrating, because I'd rather not even get the invites if it really isn't an "invite".

Re: Personal style...?

Okay, good to know! I find once the editors get through with my pieces, they read sort of "sterilized". Which is fine, I guess, because evidently the people shopping the site want a sterile informative article. I find if I try to inject humor, use extra adjectives for effect, or use a cute...

Re: Will I lose full license if....

Thank you! I have gone back and priced my articles higher according to word count, and have made Unique and Full Rights the same price, with Usage rights half that amount. I sold all of my articles back in 2005 when I joined, but I think the competition is higher now that I've returned! But hopefull...

Re: Will I lose full license if....

Great idea. Thanks! I guess I was thinking I would be willing to accept less on the full rights but I wasn't thinking about having to deflect lowball offers on the "use".

Personal style...?

I just have a question about personal style....occasionally I'll throw in a bit of humor that might not be fully grammatically correct (for emphasis) and it gets crossed out by the editors. So does that mean that grammatical rules can't be bent for emphasis even if it's obviously being used for that...

Re: Will I lose full license if....

Yeah I thought I priced it pretty reasonably since I'm relatively new still. I sold articles back in 2005 but only a few, and now I'm finally back. Anyway the article is about whether you should choose to take on a business partner as an entrepreneur. The person ahead a username other than info....

Will I lose full license if....

I have a 1200 word article that I listed at $20/$35/$60. I got an offer for use at $11. If I sell for use, does that automatically delete my option to sell it full, since it will no longer be a unique article?

$11 isn't a good offer for a 1200 word article is it?

Reviews and Tutorials

How does one write a review or tutorial without using first person? Especially a review, since most of the time, a review is sharing your own experience with a product in order to share it's strengths and weaknesses?

How to undo "for request"?

I wrote an article for a general request, but the person never bought it. How can I remove the "for request" and just have it be available to the general public?

Re: Resubmissions

Thanks all! They're caught up now. I'm sort of new but sort of not. I joined back in 2005 and wrote/sold about six articles, but then have been away from it until now. Stricter rules now than before, but I don't have a problem with it since it obviously means a better quality site. I did read the &q...

Re: Resubmissions

Yes. One article has been "resubmitted" since last week, and a more recent one has been in "review" for two days. I don't want to write any more articles until I know everything's okay with my account. :-( I have written two emails to CC about it but no response. I have had five ...
