How do I edit my profile?

I know I've done it before, but I can't seem to figure it out today. Also, is there a trick to replacing the picture. I've tried almost everything on that one.

Still Waiting . . .

My pool articles are waiting, waiting, waiting. I have one article that has been waiting since Oct. 30 and a bunch that have been waiting since the first week of Nov. I know that waiting in theory means that the money is coming, but before the Dec. 1 payday would be awfully helpful. There is a reaso...

Re: A note on suspensions

Thank you for explaining the policy for suspensions. I feel more confident about submitting articles now, especially the less expensive ones. Before, I would weigh the risk of suspension against the payout. Now, if I need some extra grocery money, I'll feel more confident of writing whatever comes m...

Re: Anyone experiencing rejection on those political topics?

Oh dear. I'm so sorry. Perhaps I took less polarizing issues this time. I have become compulsive about proofreading, but I don't think anyone can improve that quickly.

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

Wow, I opened a can of worms. I was just looking for some advice. Thanks, Eric, for clarifying which projects are sponsored by CC. That helps a lot. I won't feel so badly about not taking some of the ones that are underpriced if I don't feel like I'm letting a team down. As far as the editors are co...

Re: Anyone experiencing rejection on those political topics?

Looks like someone has noticed the frustration about political article rejections (or I have miraculously improved). I just got all of this batch of political articles through. That feels great. I'm thankful because it is fun to write my own titles. Thanks for helping me think through the pros and c...

Re: fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

That's kind of what I thought. I miss writing about things that actually interest me. The $13 take-away is awfully low.

fairly priced spec vs. underpriced team: which is better

As I view the available team articles, I find myself hesitating to accept any. Has anyone done the math? I'm trying to decided which is better, writing spec articles for decent prices or writing "sure purchase" team articles for $20. This close to Christmas, I would normally take the $20 a...

Note to Editor Box

Occasionally, I would love a note-to-the-editor box. I recently wrote an article that had some odd terminology because it was targeted at college kids. It was accepted, but I was sweating it. I would have felt better if I could have explained a few of the terms. I'm sure those who write about techno...

Re: Is there a place to leave an editor a note?

Thanks Renee. I guess that one will be on its way back soon. I once went back and forth with the word realtor. One editor insisted that it's supposed to be capitalized and one said it wasn't. Never knew which way to go with it, but I didn't want to take it out in favor of real estate agent b/c realt...

Is there a place to leave an editor a note?

I have two terms in a requested article about college parties that seem incorrect, but they aren't. They are cool memes, actually, and I would like to tell the editor before he or she dings me on them.

Re: Another suspension

OMG! I have 8 that are due soon, and I was in the middle of submitting them. They are for pools and are on stupid topics, like makeup. The topics are so fluffy that conciseness is almost impossible. This may be my last hurrah, too, but I have to at least submit them. That solves it - if I don't get ...

Depending on the due dates of the "hundreds of articles," I'm in. I'd love to have some extra work.

Re: His and Her vs Their

Whew - this whole thing has me discouraged. If Lysis got that many rejections, then I'm happy to be grading papers at the moment instead of writing them. However, here's my tip on their vs. his/her. Change the sentence so that the antecedent is plural or use an article instead of a pronoun to descri...
