Hi Ladystrange, 1. You definitely want fresh, original content on your own site. SE's do penalize for duplicate content, and any content that is used on more than one site is considered duplicate. Like Matt mentioned, a quick re-write should do the trick. 2. Keyword dense articles that are relevant ...

Hi, I don't think it would be worth the expense to hire a proofreader. I've done some proofreading myself, and I can do it for others, but it is still difficult to proof my own work. Like Mary said, we subconsciously see what we know should be there. There is a trick for this. Read your work aloud. ...

There are hundreds of great writers here, and the beauty of Constant Content is the buyer's ability to gather content from many instead of one. Most writers here are incredibly creative, and many will approach the same subject from different angles, in different writing styles. This way you get a fr...

blogs

It seems that some writers view blogs rather negatively. Personally, I think blogs are great, and the raging popularity indicates that they are well-received by many people. Blogs are to the internet what reality shows are to TV. Many people like to wade through other people's lives and experiences,...

IMPORTANT re: Hurricane Victims...

Hello Everyone, I'm sure others are just as heartbroken over the suffering caused by hurricane Katrina as I am. I spoke with Chris today, and he is willing to give us the money currently in our author accounts (even if we haven't reached $50), if we want to donate to the relief effort. Chris/CC is a...

I was taught that any info that's common knowledge is fair game, but that one of a kind info should not be used without credit given.

Apparently, it's a matter of etiquette and ethics rather than a copyright infringement.

Just a thought...

I thought it would be kind of cool if there was a column added to the table on the "licenses for your content" page that lists the amount we made for each article.

It would be handy to be able to print that out at tax time.

Yep... internet connection sucks, power used to go off every time it rained causing the loss of some well loved appliances (better lately, knock on wood), we've also lost at least two modems and one phone, and that's WITH surge protectors. There is no DSL, cable, etc., and like Kat, satellite is out...

Re: drum roll please

I feel like I have to go find some more male writers all the sudden. ;) Poor Chris, you do seem to be a little outnumbered... Ah, well, you can just brag to your friends that you are surrounded by wonderful women all day -and all night. Constant emails (no pun intended) and the women just won't lea...

I hope you don't mind me joining your thread, Kat, but I thought maybe we Arkies could share. I moved to AR about ten years ago from the "big city" with my husband who is also my best friend. We have four beautiful kids, and the closest town has a population that can be counted on both han...
