Re: Keyword Phrases

I use long-tail keywords all the time. I figure many people who are looking for a subject might use long tail keywords in CC's search engine to find exactly what they are looking for, just like someone searching on Google. For instance, someone who typed in nutrition would find endless articles, mos...

Re: Editing prices

Hellyes (like that name by the way) I just changed my prices the other day with no problem. I just hit edit to the right side of the article title and change the price, then hit submit. I'm surprised it's not working for you. Sorry I don't know anything about deleting articles or accounts as I've ne...

Re: How do you get approved for different writing positions?

Kevin, having read your book when it was free, I can vouch that it is very informative for the noob. I gave you a comment as such in Amazon. What is a noob anyway? I've been writing on CC for 4-5 years now but only have written about 50 some articles and sold maybe half that amount. I have a full ti...

Re: Help needed with comma splices

No problem. I have just been thinking about a different way to write the sentence below: "The shells appear dirty due to gas lamps that were used to light the caves, leaving the shells exposed to carbon deposits." I think I would write this as: "The shells appear dirty because they w...

Re: "We no longer accept lists"

A list is a list, not an article like this site known for. They want in-depth articles. I have done lists before, but I had a full paragraph for each listed item explaining the whys and hows it made the list. Maybe a couple sentences just doesn't explain enough?

Re: Removed from the site for Plagiarism

I gather it all worked out for you? I hope so. That would be soo bad to get banned. I always put my articles through copyscape before submitting just to make sure as you never know what other people are writing. Not sure how CC looks for plagarism. I pray copyscape continues to work though. I don't ...

Re: Astrology Articles?

Not too long ago I got an email stating they needed a bunch of spirituality articles on all sorts of topics (astrology would fall under this) so I think they were expecting a high demand in the near future. Good luck!

Re: Vague reason for rejection

I'm only a weekend writer as I have a full time job during the week. So they send me a rejection the beginning of the week I really don't look at it until weekend. I have no problem making corrections and finding them. I just get frustrated because it takes weeks to get an article accepted sometimes...

I'm impressed by your credentials Kevin. I shall be taking advantage of the free book offer and leave you a review. Thanks for the heads up on it.

Re: Rejected...with no errors?

If DMS is dead, maybe CC hired some of their former editors? Is that why I'm having so many editing problems this year? They have to be new editors--or they've been told to look closer for errors. Aargh!

Re: What to write about?

I would say to write about anything that interests you. The business category is quite vast so there are a lot of different areas to explore. But if you have an interest in anything else under the sun, go researching about it and write away. I have come up with some different articles from just doin...

Re: Vague reason for rejection

Grammar software used to work great for me. I used the software from University of Phoenix where I am an alumni. Never had a rejection for the past few years. All of a sudden this year I'm getting lots of rejections. Something changed this year with the editors. Wish I knew what as it would make it ...

Why don't the editors list all rejections at once?

I have been writing here for a few years with hardly a rejection. Lately I have been getting quite a few. I realize changes are made on here now and then. I can learn by the editors comments, so no problem with it. My only beef is that I have had articles that get rejected a number of times. Each ti...

Re: Are CC editors slipping?

I know short summaries are read by the editors as I had one come back at me with a tiny mistake.

Re: Are CC editors slipping?

I'm with you on that. I'd much rather have the editors catch things and let me know. I don't want articles with mistakes like that to go through. It just doesn't look good for the author or CC.
