Re: Important on citation, etc.

Hi Hannah, Once you've done a few articles, you'll probably feel a lot more confident about submitting. It isn't too difficult to get the hang of the submission guidelines here, and you'll find that these forums are very helpful. Try not to stress too much, and best of luck with your first submissio...

Re: Google's "Crack Down" on Content

ThisOldMan, 57 isn't "old" in a society where people typically live past 80. In fact, 57 is now the new 47 (according to Women's Home Journal). 57 certainly isn't "old" in your case since you obviously have all your faculties or frailties (?) intact . . . or something like that. ...

BD, your story is quite a display of virtuosity. You're a true wordsmith! I loved it when ". . . the sum of all evil lurked in the shadows . . ."

Re: Customer public request asked for refund

I don't know. That seems a little rich on the customer's part. . . and also on CC's. When we're talking about $30 or so, I can't believe someone would ask for a refund. If they didn't like the half of the article that they couldn't view before buying it why didn't they just cut some of it or make ch...

Re: Not Getting it

I think jaye is right. The editors probably meant now and not not. Now would make a lot more sense. I think that, much of the time, writers just instinctively feel that something's wrong when they're mixing their metaphors. They edit them out without really knowing why. I can sort of explain why bec...

accepting customer offers

Hello everyone, I'm newer here and am for the first time accepting an offer below my listed price. Does the system automatically charge the customer the agreed upon price and then forward the article? Do I need to take another action besides accepting the offer on the system? I'm afraid that if I lo...

Re: Not Getting it

It's hard to get your head around the concept of mixed metaphors and why you shouldn't use them until you have a grasp of the difference between literal and figurative usages. Issues that have caused emotional pain for years now would be a literal way of saying issues that have festered for years no...

Re: Sentence Help for Requested Article

Adding their feelings or their pain does seem to give the statement a precision it lacks (as the editors note). However, I'm bothered by the friends or family members with which to share ... I'm pretty sure that which can never be used as pronoun to replace people nouns (friends or family members). ...
