Pied and Prodigious - a Pride and Prejudice Parody

I've published another one - more appealing to the ladies this time (though well over half the readership for The Serpent in the Glass is female!): http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e166/dubhdara/pap_cover_bord_small.jpg Yes, I had to do it: a parody of Pride and Prejudice! Find out more at http://p...

Re: The Serpent in the Glass - new novel from a CC writer...

Thanks, all. As of March the book has been doing very well on Amazon Kindle (hitting #1 in children's briefly, and bouncing around in the top ten for adult contemporary fantasy) and has become increasingly popular on GoodReads. I'm so happy to be making money with fiction (and far more than I ever d...

The Serpent in the Glass - new novel from a CC writer...

It was nice to have a little Christmas present in the form of two article sales last week, and that reminded me I hadn't informed you of the reason for my patchy attendance here. Well, here it is... Re: Rejected due to non-existent grammatical errors

Personally I think that "CE" comes across as a bit contrived - almost as if people are trying to be PC. Should we stop calling the days of the week after Norse gods as well (unless you are a pagan)? :D My pet peeve is that AD should always come *before* the year, not after - nearly everyon...

Re: Rejected due to non-existent grammatical errors

What is 2000AD?

Did you mean AD 2000? :D (I think it might be A.D. 2000 for Americans...?)

Re: Fiction

Actually, Debbi, it was a cunning plan to distract you from Constant-Content so that I could gazump you on the public requests  Seriously, I received 6 critiques (only 1 of them was a little poor) on my first submission, and have so many more ideas for how to rewrite the first chapter of my...

Re: Fiction

This may be of interest to some of you - even if you do not write fiction. I do not know too many people offline that enjoy writing stories, so I wanted to find a good online critique group. An author friend gave me one service, but I was not too keen on its appearance (and some of the stories seeme...

Private offers

How do I correctly deal with a private offer for an existing article through the CC message system. The request has not come throughthe actual "offers" feature (the tab says I have no offers).

Thanks!

Re: I have 33 referrals

I had over 50 referrals in one programme some years ago. Not one of them sold anything. One of the problem with two-tier affiliate programmes is that there is a big incentive to sign up solely in order to get others to sign up... Anyway, I have two referrals. Both seem inactive, though one had one a...

Twitter, anyone?

Does anyone on CC have a writing-related Twitter following?

If so, can the links be posted here for discussion? (I'm still not sure what we can and cannot disclose in these forums! :D )

I'd like to see how many Twits we have on Constant Content
