Vague Content Requests

I've been gone for a while so I'm still getting used to some of the site changes. However, is it just me or are a lot of the posts for Requested Content vague, or lacking in anything which would indicate what they actually want? Some are pretty straight forward like I remember. The requester states ...

Re: General Questions About Rejections

I try to write across several areas. I've even managed to sell some satire, humor, political rants, movie/product reviews, how-to, and even poetry. I was amazed at how many times my 10 Reasons to Savor Being Single, and Flirting Tips for Gay Men has sold for usage. The latter I wrote on a dare. My r...

Re: General Questions About Rejections

I think I just won't be posting to relationships anymore. I'm two for two on rejections there this morning. Eric and the others are missing out on money. I guess I'll try out some others. The editor for computer articles is fast. Now that I know blowjob is a dirty word here, what are some of the oth...

General Questions About Rejections

I've been absent from Constant Content for a while now. I only recently started resubmitting, and so far I have to say that the turn-around times are outstanding. I also commend how the editors are adding notes to rejected articles. You guys are awesome. I was discouraged in previous years. For the ...

Re: Is It Worth It Any More?

Even with the sales I've made over the years I was placed on level 4. I won't be seeing many requests except in my email. Even then they won't be visible when I click on them. Thank for the responses. It appears that only the "new" method of writing will be tolerated. I wonder if someone h...

Is It Worth It Any More?

I've been a member of Constant Content for a few years now. I haven't submitted much in the last couple of years though. However, that doesn't mean I haven't submitted. It just means that more than a few get rejected for the most trivial reasons. That's what keeps me from submitting more. For the mo...

Re: Different editors for different topics

I've pretty much given up on submitting any articles. I don't know if the editors are just young and taught that everything except what they were taught is bad, or if they're just kicking out articles with what could be an error. Whatever the case it is disheartening. I like to add more to my articl...

Re: Anyone experiencing rejection on those political topics?

Maybe I'll give political subjects a try again. The last time I had one approved was when it was only Ed.

The last one I had rejected was because it was the opinion of the editor that my piece was merely opinion.

Re: Requested Content page vs. requests on Account Status pa

While interesting on one level, why do I get requests in my email but see nothing when I click the link? The request isn't even listed on the side of the Account Status page most of the time either.

Re: Question about Editorial Process

I received two rejections today, but they were my first ones. Are editors required to read the whole article, or do they stop reading as sonn as they find one error? I revised one article, and the revision request was minor. I was very surprised when it was rejected again, and the editor mentioned ...

Re: Editorial Rejection on Non-Editorial Article

Jaye, If the editor in question deemed the piece to be editorial or opinion there's not much you can do. I had the same issue a while back with a piece based entirely on research of facts. The editor said my article was an opinion piece. Replying to the email rejection doesn't go anywhere. The edito...

Re: My three articles were rejected

It took me a few rejections to get with the flow. The market here is for a slightly different style than your average web content. A few of the editors are a bit harsh from time to time, but they were taught that way. I don't think things have changed that much, but editors are now taught things whi...

Re: Private Request

Submit it through CC just like you would any other article. If the author asks you to go outside CC to submit work I'd advise against it. It's against the TOS. I haven't had a private request in a while, but I think you just set your prices just like you normally would. The customer can request that...

Re: Deleting a rejected article

Expnding on Cathleen's comments - it'll pop around sometimes if you're using IE. Look the whole page up and down for the "are you sure" message and button. Clear your cache often in IE.
