Writer Biography

Hans Josef was born in Germany but grew up in Oklahoma. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma in political science with a minor in classical culture. While obtaining his degree, Hans also finished his TEFL/TESOL teaching certification. Specializing in general and business English, he currently teaches English as a foreign language. He was afforded the luxury of working online and has used his free time to travel. Currently, he and his fiancee live in Costa Rica and have wasted no time exploring their new home.

While he used to be a dedicated martial artist, in his new home Hans has found more relaxing pursuits. Having taken up yoga and surfing as his main hobbies, he has begun to enjoy the relaxing and care-free attitudes of Costa Rica. One passion that has followed him, however, is his love of backpacking and the great outdoors. Living near a beautiful national park, Hans has had the good fortune of walking through jungles and beaches alike. While living in the United States, he experienced a series of long-haul treks and even a three-month stint living and traveling in his truck. These combined experiences allow Hans to speak on a broad number of topics and confront new experiences with a unique armament of insights.
