Writer Biography

Dan has been writing travel and outdoor adventure articles professionally for 15 years, predominantly for magazines and newspapers but also websites, blogs and other outlets. He's travelled to 114 countries over all seven continents so far, and can write first-hand about each one.

His specializations in the outdoor field include hiking, backpacking, trail running, mountain biking, kayaking, snowshoeing, canyoning etc. He takes photographs to accompany his articles, and has two magazine front covers to his name.

Other writing styles in which he works include outdoor equipment reviews, historical articles, people profiles, poetry, and he's written three full-length travel books.

Dan has never missed a deadline and takes pride in keeping his word count within set boundaries. Rarely does his work require editing, never mind returned for rewrites. As a native English speaker, he's very confident in his use of the language.
