Writer Biography

Reese's 15+ years in information technology includes six years at NASA and five as data center and disaster recovery coordinator for a county on the Texas Gulf Coast. Reese authored the county's IT preparedness, continuity, and disaster recovery plan as well as the monthly newsletter for 1,300 county employees. He also administered the county's information security training program.

Reese began his college career later than most at age 45, earning an AAS in Application Programming, a BS in IT Management, and a MS in Information Security and Assurance.

While most of his content will be IT-related, you may find Reese's posts in other categories as well. He has successfully explored a variety of career paths over the last four decades, including seven years as a police officer and nine as an investigator for a Texas state agency. He spent 13 years in the music and recording industry in Austin and Nashville and has written radio advertising and news reports. He also owned and boarded horses for many years and is an avid vegetable gardener.
