Writer Biography

Jaymee lives in the Colorado Rockies where she is a part-time professor, a part-time writer, and a full-time mom. Passionate about nature, Jaymee enjoys all things outdoors, but especially enjoys sunny days when she can sit by a rushing river and read books or knit. This passion led Jaymee to a career in environmental education, and Jaymee facilitates graduate level courses on topics such as K-12 Science Inquiry and the History and Theory of Environmental Education. For the past ten years, Jaymee has also managed a weekly column for the local newspaper, Curious Nature, composed of articles about local seasonal events. While Jaymee is currently a graduate educator, she has worked in school systems at all levels, from Pre-K to graduate students, teaching middle school for seven years, and serving as a community volunteer at a variety of local organizations. Jaymee enjoys writing about a variety of topics, but specializes in those relating to education, youth, and the environment.
