Writer Biography

Laurie Dalton-Wordsmith, has a Master's degree in Education, with a specialty of Early Childhood Education. Her undergraduate degree was in History and Political Science preparatory to certification in Secondary Education. She is certified to teach Kindergarten and Elementary to high school in History, Political Science, and English. She also has experience in a number of jobs unrelated to Education.

She was Director of Claims for a Life and Health Insurance Company learning a great deal about health and insurance. Now that she has retired from teaching high school, her current work is Marketing and Web Design for a country real estate office owned with her husband, the Broker, for the last 17 years.

She is well versed in a myriad of topics including education, home and garden, family, insurance, religion, philosophy, health/medical, marketing, technology and real estate. She is a perfectionist and enjoys reading and writing for her leisure, as well as her work. She is a mother and grandmother and has been around long enough to know something about a vast variety of topics.

She prides herself on keeping abreast of technology and works at her computer and on the internet every day. She designs and maintains websites for clients outside the real estate field and handles the day to day inquiries of her real estate office, just an hour East of the Dallas Metroplex. She will do a good job at anything you trust her with, as that is an old-fashioned trait that has not gone out of style.
