Preening Flamingo in Captivity
In captivity, a flamingo´s color turns to a shade of brown if not fed enough of things such as carrots. Their bright orange color when not in captivity is a result of their natural diet.

A flamingo stands on one leg while preening. Ankle bone is clearly visible. (The leg does not bend backward at the knee - it bends backward at the ankle joint, which is high on a flamingo´s leg.)

Mother Chimp and Baby Chimp
Mother chimpanzee rests by the water while her baby (apparently a bit of a "toddler") tests its abilities and independence next to her by climbing a tree. Reaches for a branch that is just slightly too far away. Father is in background, guarding the mother and child. Usable as a wildlife photo or with a piece on families or parenting.
