Gail Kavanagh is a freelance writer living in Queensland, Australia, and she loves telling people what to do and how to do it. Her book How to Make a Miniature Gypsy Wagon is a top seller at her bookstore on Lulu.com
Gail gets a lot of her inspiration from her Gypsy/ traveller heritage. Born in Ireland, she worked in circuses and theatre in the UK and Europe for many years before emigrating to Australia and settling down to raise a family. She became a reporter for a regional newspaper when her children were grown, and as well as taking charge of the entertainment section, she covered news, politics and special features.

This image shows a group of three paperbark trees in the small township of Eagleby, Queensland, Australia. The bark of these trees shreds off in papery leaves, hence the name. The bark was put to many uses by the Australian Aborigines, and is collected and used today by artists.
