I have a scientific background--a BA in chemistry and an MA in biology. This doesn't mean that I write like a scientist. I prefer to take the jargon that most disciplines couch their knowledge in and turn it back into plain English. I also have a strong preference for humorous writing. Who else would even consider writing a piece on how Barry Bonds used Botox and Viagra delivering nanobots to help him hit his home runs?
