There are five main areas in which most people aspire to achieve fulfillment in their lives. Each one has the same yardstick attached. Success or failure, as judged by the world at large. These aspects are to do with money, love life, health, spirituality, and intellectual prowess. Fulfillment lies in synchronizing these areas of our lives.
Failure is an invitation
The best of us are tossed about by the fickle judgements of an unforgiving world. Perfectionism has become a double- edged sword, where we constantly fail to measure up. We, of course, are our own worst critics. Empowerment lies in forming a new understanding of the concept of failure. Failure is a teacher and an invitation to create. Those of us who cringe from failure have ceased to learn. Break free from the prison of pessimism and ask yourself “what can I learn from this?”
Shine your love light
Are you defined by your lover, by the fact that you have a lover, or by being loverless and lonely? Each one of these scenarios reflect a serious inner conflict, as allowing someone else to dictate your value or lack thereof, is tantamount to giving away any and all power over yourself. Love yourself, and your inner light will shine through. You will attract those who will honor and respect your enlightened spirit. It is easy to love yourself if you realize that this is your birthright and anything less is the tragic consequence of negative conditioning.
Financial success
Most people have a negative relationship with money. If we don’t have enough, we focus on lack and desperation, which in turn, sows the seeds of pessimism and ultimate failure. This can happen if we experienced financial want in childhood, were surrounded by negative penny pinching notions or were told that we would never amount to anything. Dispelling these fears is easy if you realize that the fear itself is holding you back. Train your mind to focus on wealth and success, dismissing anything less as paranoid drivel.
Healthy mind, healthy body
We all depend on doctors to cure us and save our lives. But all doctors agree that prevention is better than cure. That’s where the mind comes in. That’s where love of self and ultimate confidence comes in. That’s where feelings and action come in.
Use your mind to visualize health, let your emotions guide you towards a feeling place of joyful wellbeing, and finally take practical action, such as avoiding drink and drugs or protecting yourself from mood vampires. These are the people who dampen your spirits and put you down, thereby damaging your emotional or physical health.
