Lingerie Buying Guide for Men
|
Summary:
For a private request - A detailed guide for men on choosing the right size and style of lingerie for their partner. |
Details or Sample:
Most men at some point in their lives will buy lingerie for their partner, and most women will know all too well the embarrassment, not to mention the disappointment, of receiving underwear that is both unsuitable and more importantly doesn’t fit properly.
But receiving lingerie as a gift can be a romantic and much welcome experience. The important thing, fellas, is to get it right.
First of all think about what kind of lingerie you want to buy for your lady. Remember, this is a gift you are buying for her, not for yourself, so consider the sort of person she is and what she would most like to receive as a present. It can be confusing when you begin to browse through sections of underwear, with so much choice in designs, types of lingerie, and colors, so it’s best to have a rough idea of what you are looking for before you start. You can base your ideas on the underwear your partner already has at home. Take a good look at what she wears and what she has in her drawers. If you think she might not appreciate anything too sexy then don’t go there, it can be embarrassing for both of you to present her with a gift that is so wide of the mark, but if you know she is a woman who likes to express herself and is happy wearing pieces that are a bit more racy, then a gift along those lines can be great for both your partner, and you!
Many men will choose a lingerie set when they buy for their partner. This is a matching bra and knickers set, either including a thong, French knickers or briefs. Again, have in mind what you partner would most like and choose accordingly. Large briefs, which hug the body – unlike French knickers which are loose around the thighs – are popular and fashionable at the moment. More comfortable than thongs, but still attractive in lace and satin, these knickers are an ideal choice for almost all women as they offer comfort and style while still managing to conceal a girl’s panty line beneath her clothes.
Bras do need a special mention on their own as they are probably the most difficult item of lingerie for a man to buy for his partner. If you have chosen a set then the stress of choosing the bra is probably removed as you will be going with the one present in the set. If, however, you are mixing and matching these yourself then bras can provide so much choice you might end up not knowing your push-up from your plunge. It is most likely that, as this is a gift, you will want to buy your partner something pretty, possibly sexy, so doubtless it will be an underwired bra which achieves a cleavage when worn. The main differences you will find are in the straps. A balconette bra has wide set straps that appear nearer to the wearer’s arms, rather than in the centre of the chest. This gives a woman the choice to wear the bra under outfits with a scoop neck. A strapless bra is particularly useful for outfits where the woman doesn’t want any visible straps at all, for example, strapless dresses or tops with very thin straps on them. Then there’s the multiway bra which can be worn with straps, without straps or with cross-over straps on a woman’s back, but to be honest, many women find these confusing so it’s probably best for men to stay clear altogether! If you aren’t sure which to go for then play it safe and either choose a straight forward underwired bra or a push-up bra which will give maximum cleavage.
