Benzodent is Great for Denture Wearers' Sore Spots

Summary:
This 400-word review examines Benzodent: a product intended to relieve sore spots caused by dentures. The piece is mostly positive.
Details or Sample:

If you have dentures, then you’ve probably also had at least one sore spot. These parts of your mouth are irritated and, more often than not, cause you pain. Until your dentist can make the proper adjustments to your dentures, you have to relieve the discomfort on your own. That’s where Benzodent comes in: use this cream and your sore spots will be gone, at least temporarily.

The 0.25-ounce tube is full of a pink cream that, when properly applied, temporarily numbs that part of your mouth. Take off the cap, use the sharp end to puncture the safety seal, and squeeze out the cream. This will be a bit difficult, as the “pink stuff” is rather thick. That, however, is good news: once you’ve applied the Benzodent, the product stays in place.

Your sore spots go numb because Benzodent contains twenty percent Benzocaine: the same ingredient in Orajel. However, Orajel is more of a liquid and, as such, is not as reliable under dentures.

Another key difference between these two products is the fact that Orajel can sting and burn when applied to a sore spot. That product is designed for toothaches, but Benzodent is meant to soothe your mouth. That’s why you should go buy the Benzodent even if you have a nice, new tube of Orajel in the house.

You can reasonably expect a few hours of relief after you use this product. The cream stays in place well, especially if you put the denture back in after you apply the product. You can get back to talking and eating again just a couple of minutes after each application: Benzodent works quickly to relieve your pain and soreness.

The only real problem with Benzodent is the pasty taste. This is not pleasant, but you can easily manage the temporary taste – especially if you’re getting some relief because of this product.

Pick up a tube of Benzodent at your local pharmacy or discount-department store. One tube costs only a few dollars, which is the perfect price to pay for comfort.

You should also note that Benzodent is not intended to be a long-term solution to your soreness. Your dentist can adjust your dentures, so be sure to visit as soon as possible to correct the problem. Until you can get an appointment, this product will make life bearable again.
