Oreo Cakesters are Chewy Cookie Goodness

Summary:
This 300-word review describes Nabisco´s new treat: Oreo Cakesters.
Details or Sample:

If you love Oreo cookies, but you’re in the mood for something chewy, give the Cakesters line a try. These Nabisco treats, sold in packs of two, are perfect for snacking or dessert.

Cakesters are based on the original Oreo cookies: those crunchy, creamy delights that you’ve enjoyed all your life. The key difference is that the Cakester’s cookie is soft and chewy. Nabisco’s transformation makes this part of the Cakester taste like a rich, chocolaty cake – hence, the snack’s name.

Cakesters are rich and creamy, soft and chewy. They don’t leave crumbs all over your kitchen table, and they melt nicely in your mouth. There is a slight aftertaste, but it’s a nice, chocolate flavor: definitely something that chocoholics enjoy.

Another nice thing is that Cakesters are a bit larger than regular Oreos. Two Cakesters make for a filling snack or dessert, unlike their Oreo-cookie counterparts. And with only 250 calories per serving (two Cakesters), your diet can probably accommodate the occasional indulgence.

This does not, however, mean that Cakesters are any substitute for a healthy diet. The first ingredient on the list, after all, is sugar. Because of this, a couple of Cakesters are perfect a couple of times a week or so – whenever you just need some chocolate, or want to reward yourself with a special snack.

You can also enjoy Cakesters by dipping them in milk before you eat. You will, however, have to dip the entire snack – Cakesters, unlike Oreos, don’t simply peel apart so that you can enjoy the rich filling first.

Nabisco has also introduced a chocolate Cakester – patterned after the Oreo cookies with chocolate-flavored filling. These are every bit as good as their Oreo ancestors, and are definitely worth trying.

Visit the Cakester Web site at nabiscoworld.com for more information about both the company and the snack.
