Myrtle Beach encourages young golfers with events held for different age groups. In March, the Fifth Annual Junior Golf Shootout at the Myrtle Beach National Facility on Highway 501 invites young people from ages 8 to 18 to participate in this 2-day, 36-hole event. There are both male and female divisions and each competitor receives a super welcome gift. Great prizes are given out too! The George Halliday Junior Golf Tournament is held here in November and includes three championship rounds.
The Girls Love to Golf is a ladies´ weekend getaway. Beginners and experienced golfers come together for golf, companionship, and instruction during this special time in October. You can also enjoy golf at Litchfield Country Club and Willbrook Plantation, where you can have lunches and special receptions with your friends.
