A Thrill Seekers Review of Cedar Point

 (Best Offer)
Summary:
A review of Cedar Point Amusement Park, located in Sandusky Ohio. Discusses what to ride, when to ride, and some of the other rides and attractions in the park that are generally overlooked because of the parks solid and deserved reputation of being the world´s number one coaster park.
Details or Sample:
Cedar Point has won the Golden Ticket Awards, Best Amusement Park in the World ten years in a row, and also has four of the top 20 coasters in the world, Millennium Force (#2), Magnum XL 200 (#3), Top Thrill Dragster (#10), and Raptor (#14). But those are just some opinions. Honestly, these are the best coasters in the world. Many of their coasters have broken the world record for longest drop and highest speed, though no coasted in the park still holds these titles at the time this was published. Even without those records, Cedar Point is a coaster riders Mecca, and if you love riding coasters, if you love speed, and you love height, this is the place to visit.

However, Cedar Point is not just a coaster park. Though most of its patrons are there to ride ‘til they drop, it is a very well rounded park with something for everyone. The park features three carousels, each with its own unique charm. It also features 23 children’s rides that make this park perfect for the whole family. From the classic chair swing to the Peanut Express (a train that can take you around the park), it really is a great playground for kids. I cannot give you a personal perspective here, as I am to big to go on these rides, but the kids in the park seemed to be having a blast. Of course there are many rides right in between, from thrill rides to simple rides everyone can enjoy like the Ferris Wheel and the Sky Ride. For those who love to splash, there is Soak City Water Park, which is attached and a combination admission can be purchased to both Cedar Point and Soak City.

Cedar Point has wonderful rides, no doubt about that, but what’s an amusement park without food and souvenir shops? The park has 10 full service restaurants and countless stands and specialty foods. All the standards are there, but the highlight is something called an Elephant Ear. It is basically a large circle of what appears to be funnel cake dough, fried and then coated with powder cinnamon sugar. It is one of the best damn treats I have had just about anywhere, with the exception of chocolate covered Oreos. The rest of the food is very good, and anywhere is a choice place to eat lunch or dinner. The souvenir shops are just the same, though many have different products, such as the Camp Snoopy Shop in the midway, in which all products are geared to the Peanuts gang, a staple in the park.
