Having a fall party or a family Thanksgiving? a great bowl for vegetables or salad is a hollowed out pumpkin. Hollow one out the night before and place in a refrigerator uncovered. This will help eliminate some of the excess moisture, yet keep the pumpkin from shriveling.

Stampers for Crafts
Have you ever heard of potato stampers? This craft uses pieces of pumpkin shell instead. Cut a pumpkin shell into three inch squares.Carve a shape into the skin of the pumpkin and press into an ink pad. This is a great activity for children as long as an adult uses the knife.

Head of a Snowman
About the time pumpkins go out of season, snow begins to fall. Keep your full pumpkin around long enough to set on top of a snowman. It´s the coolest looking head. You could even put off carving one pumpkin until it snows. A jack-o-lantern makes a great snowman head.
