Paul Revere: Midnight Rider

Paul Revere was an American Silversmith and Engraver who became renowned in history for his famous midnight ride to warn colonists about the advancing British army. He was born in Massachusetts, to a silversmith, on new years day in 1735. While still only a young man he became a talented designer and creator of fine silverware. Revere first used his creative talents in the colonial to draw propaganda cartoons that were used to great effect against the British army.

In the town of Boston on March 5th 1770 ice, sticks and rocks are thrown by colonists, knocking one British guard to the ground. The colonists daringly shouted "Fire on us!” which the British guards did. 5 colonists were killed in the battle that ensued. This was to be known as the Boston massacre...
