Cleaning Clay Pots

Summary:
How to remove salt marks from clay pots.
Details or Sample:
If you are using clay pots in your gardening projects, you may have noticed some of them developing white rings or splotches. These marks can occur on the inside or the outside of your pots. They are nothing to worry over, though. They are generally just a buildup of mineral salts from your potting soils and fertilizers.

To get rid of these white marks, wash your pots to remove dirt and debris. Wipe them down, inside and out, with a cloth thatīs been soaked in undiluted white vinegar. Using cloth rather than a paper towel is more useful as the cloth will not tear up as easily on the slightly rough texture of the clay. This should remove the marks with little difficulty.
